Flagship Session
Connecting Africa, Europe & North America Through a New Sourcing Architecture
As global sourcing becomes more regional, diversified and resilience-driven, a new opportunity is emerging across the Mediterranean and Atlantic.
Africa possesses growing manufacturing capabilities, resources and an expanding industrial base. Europe remains one of the world's most important consumer markets and centers of brands, design and innovation. North America represents enormous market demand and an increasingly diversified sourcing landscape.
Connecting these regions creates the possibility of something greater:
A new Med-Atlantic textile and apparel supply chain corridor.
At the strategic crossroads of these markets, Morocco has the potential to play an important connecting role - linking African production and resources with European proximity and North American market opportunities.
But a successful corridor requires much more than geography.
It requires integrated regional production networks, efficient ports and logistics, competitive manufacturing, customs and trade facilitation, digital connectivity, investment, technology, skills and greater cooperation between governments, industries and institutions.
The ambition must therefore extend beyond simply moving products between continents.
It should be about creating a connected industrial ecosystem - from fiber to fashion, factory to market, and investment to trade.
This flagship session of the Med-Atlantic Textile Summit will explore how Africa, Europe and North America can work together to develop a stronger production and sourcing architecture - and what governments, industry, investors and institutions must do to transform the concept of a Med-Atlantic Supply Chain Corridor into an economic and industrial reality.
This remains closest to the original central concept, which specifically calls for regional production networks, fiber-to-fashion integration, logistics and port competitiveness, customs facilitation and joint investment opportunities.
