Session 3
Geopolitics. Trade. Tariffs. Logistics. Risk. Resilience.
Global textile and apparel sourcing has entered an age of unprecedented uncertainty.
Geopolitical tensions, shifting trade relationships, tariffs, logistics disruptions, economic volatility and rapidly changing consumer markets are challenging sourcing models developed over decades around cost optimization, scale and globally dispersed production.
For brands, retailers and manufacturers, resilience is no longer simply a risk-management strategy - it is becoming a competitive necessity.
Companies are reassessing where they source, how dependent they have become on individual countries and regions, how quickly they can respond when disruption occurs, and how they balance cost against speed, flexibility, reliability and security of supply.
The result is a fundamental rewiring of global textile and apparel supply chains.
Diversification, nearshoring, regionalization and strategic manufacturing partnerships are becoming increasingly important as businesses seek sourcing networks capable of absorbing shocks while continuing to serve markets efficiently.
At the same time, brands and retailers are placing greater emphasis on transparency, compliance, traceability and digital visibility across increasingly complex supply chains.
This session will bring together brands, retailers, sourcing executives, manufacturers, logistics leaders and trade experts to examine the forces disrupting global sourcing - and explore how the industry can move from reacting to disruption toward deliberately designing smarter, more diversified and more resilient supply chains for the future.
This combines the disruption themes from the Opening Keynote with the resilience and diversification considerations developed in the original Europe and North America sessions.
